Puja Garg is the National Senior Vice President of FICCIFLO.

 

Puja’s journey from Kanpur to becoming a prominent figure in Lucknow and beyond is truly inspiring. Starting with her Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Christ Church College Kanpur, she ventured into the professional world in Lucknow in 1999 and hasn’t looked back since.

 

With a history of strategic leadership and innovative vision, Puja has played a central role in assisting her husband, Mr Mayur Garg in shaping the Tex India Group, a prominent entity within the Distributors India Group – a renowned pan-India pharmaceuticals/FMCG logistics and distribution powerhouse. Today, Distributors India boasts itself as one of India’s largest pharmaceutical logistics companies with established offices in more than 20 states.

 

Tex India Group, established in 1998 by Mr. Mayur Garg, stands as a renowned distribution and retail entity in Northern India, specializing in both International and National apparel brands. The primary objective of Tex India Group is to distribute and retail fashion brands across North India, and over the years, it has experienced a notable journey of growth

and success.

 

As of now, Tex India Group boasts a robust dealer network, collaborating with over 200 retailers situated in 30 cities. Additionally, the group owns and operates over 20 retail stores across North India, further solidifying its presence in the market.

 

Puja co-founded Amara Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition in 2010, a pioneering endeavor that brought global designers to Lucknow. Over the years, she has expanded the exhibition, now hosting over 60 designers and organizing trunk shows for internationally renowned names like Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo, and Versace. Through cross-functional strategies, operational efficiency has been enhanced, drawing over 1500 attendees to each event and expanding internationally with successful editions in London.

 

Today, Amara stands as a premier lifestyle exhibition, hosting multiple annual events in Lucknow, Varanasi and London, showcasing diversity, innovation, and luxury to a global audience.

 

Puja has been recognized for her extraordinary work during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she served as Chairperson of the FICCI FLO Lucknow Chapter and has been awarded on multiple occasions for her efforts in such times of uncertainty.

She was also awarded the Aatmanirbhar Nari Award by Amar Ujala for her outstanding leadership and impactful initiatives during the pandemic. The award was presented by the Minister of State for MSME in 2021.

 

Puja was felicitated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on International Women’s Day. The recognition was presented by Femina India and The Times Group, in collaboration with the UP Government’s Mission Shakti, for her significant contributions to the empowerment of women in Uttar Pradesh and India in 2021.
