Women Entrepreneurs : Opportunities and Challenges

The inaugural event for the year was a panel discussion on “Women Entrepreneurs – Opportunities and Challenges” at the Hyatt Regency.

The event showcased four extremely successful women entrepreneurs – Ms Hemalatha Annamalai, founder and CEO of Ampere vehicles; Ms Sri Devi Raghavan, co-founder and CEO of Amelio Child Care Private Limited; Ms. Sindhuja Rajaraman, 15 year old youngest CEO in the world and Ms Shobhana Anand, founder of Red Rock Consulting. The interaction was moderated by Ms. Vijayalakshmi Rao.

The audience of about 90 members was very enthusiastic and participated in the interaction in a very proactive manner. The speakers talked about their motivations in life and the challenges faced by them while setting up their businesses. They also gave an insight on the opportunities perceived by women in today’s economic scenario.
