Wanderlust YFLO Reteeat to Khajuraho october 7th-9th, 2013

YFLO Delhi organized a retreat to Khjauraho for its members from October 7-9, 2013. Aptly titled- Wanderlust, the retreat was an outstanding experience for the members to visit the land of 12th century temples of Khajuraho representing the evidences of the architectural geniuses.

The members visited the temples of Khjauraho, which was an opportunity of a lifetime. The sculpture and carvings on the temple wall opened the eyes and mind to a new idea of beauty combined with a different aspect of philosophy and religion. The fascinating sound and light show in the evening evokes the life and times of the great Chandela Kings and traces the story of the unique temples from the 10th Century to the present day.

Some 20kms away from Khajuraho, the Ken River plunges down to a 5 km long, 30mtrs deep canyon, giving birth to the spectacular Rane Falls. The members visited the mesmerizing falls with crystalline granites on the backdrop, which adds to the beauty.

Panna National Park, a Tiger reserve about 60 kms from Khajuraho, was another place of interest for the members. Members were thrilled to visit the National Park with gurgling brooks and chirpy waterfalls that make a perfect setting for the exotic wild lives including tigers.

26 YFLO members participated in the retreat. It was a wonderful opportunity for the members to network and bond over a few days jam-packed with fun, entertainment and leisure.
