Walkthrough The Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi, T3 & Interactive Session With Mr. G.M. Rao, Founder Of Gmr Group

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) organized a walk through the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi along with an interactive session with Mr. G. M. Rao, Founder Chairman of GMR Group one on July 13, 2013.

With the commencement of operations at the new Terminal 3, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has become India’s and South Asia’s largest and one of the most important aviation hub, with a current capacity of handling more than 46 million passengers and aimed at handling more than 100 million passengers by 2030.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to witness behind the scenes functioning of the airport, including the Terminal 3 and Airport Operations Control Centre.

Realizing that Airports will drive the economy in the 21st century, G M Rao, Founder Chairperson of GMR Group, spearheaded the Group’s entry into the high profile airport business. Under his leadership the Group has modernized the Delhi International Airport by constructing a world-class integrated terminal 3 (T3) which was inaugurated on 3 July 2010.

It was a privilege for the members to interact with Mr. Rao, the visionary businessman who created a business empire by dint of his entrepreneurial spirit and visionary leadership. FLO Members were highly enthused by the energetic and enthralling story of his journey to success
