VISIT TO THE GOOD EARTH FACTORY Ballabhgarh – February 28th, 2011

In keeping with the vision of Young FLO of exposing the members to successful business enterprises, and enabling them to understand the various factors that leads to success in any business entreprise, YFLO Delhi, under Chairperson Vasvi Bharat Ram organised a day Trip to the GOOD EARTH Factory in Ballabhgarh on the 28th of February, 2011.

Good Earth is a premium multi-national life-style brand, providing a range of exclusively designed products for dining and entertaining, bed linen, cushions, home décor, spa products and apparel. Established in 1996, with its first store in Mumbai, Good Earth is today recognised as a trend setting design house, which has created a unique aesthetic reflecting contemporary Indian style.

YFLO presented the members with the unique opportunity to take a peek into behind the scenes of the Good Earth operations and interact with its highly creative and dynamic founders, Anita Lal and Simran Lal.

61 members participated in the visit and each one of them were thrilled by the exciting tour through the various sections of the Good Earth Factory. The members were taken through the sections of textile, furniture, spa products, crockery, pottery and apparel design. It was a great experience to understand the vision and philosophy of the organization, and the see the process and detailing involved in the creation of each product.
Mrs. Anita Lal and Mrs. Simran Lal hosted a sumptuous lunch with the exotic gourmet delights created by celebrity chef, Ritu Dalmia, owner of the famous Italian Restaurant ‘DIVA’.

The delightful lunch was followed by an interactive session with Mrs. Anita Lal and Mrs. Simran Lal, who are the forces behind the ‘Good Earth’ concept. Both of them emphasized on the fact that the philosophy behind all products in the factory is deeply rooted in Indian tradition but simultaneously carries an unique blend of contemporary tastes.

The entire team of ‘Good Earth’ focuses on achieving perfection in their products along with preserving traditional craftsmanship and above all being eco friendly in the entire process.

This was a first ever factory visit organized by Yflo. It was a great learning as well as networking and bonding opportunity amongst the members. The event was very appreciated and received much praise each and every member who attended it.
