Talk on "Psychology of Parenting" by Dr.Samir Parikh

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Jaipur Chapter and Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur, organised a talk on “Psychology of Parenting” by Dr. Samir Parikh, Psychologist, Fortis Escorts Hospital,New Delhi.

Dr. Parikh said that children should be motivated and parents should spend time with them. He further said that children should not be compared with their friends or their siblings. Always remember, he said, that academic success does not necessarily mean success in life.The children should not be subjected to Corporal or physical punishment. It leads them to become drop outs.

Later, he answered queries of the FLO members and school educationists. Earlier, the Chairperson of FLO, Ms. Apra Kuchhal said that the right way of parenting the children was the dire need of the time. The Director of Fortis Hospital, Dr. Prateem Tamboli also spoke on the occasion. For this event, the teachers of eminent schools were also invited.
