SPEAKERS’ FEST – FLO TALKS FINALE

Adding a yet another feather to its cap, FLO Jaipur Chapter organised a grand FLO TALKS FINALE session for the year 2018-19 by the name – SPEAKERS’ FEST. This whole day event was an amalgamation of talented speakers and honouring those women who had Broken the Barriers and decided to stride ahead in life without letting obstacles hinder their dreams. The Guest of Honour for the day was Ms. Pinky Reddy (National President, FICCI Ladies Organisation). She graced the occasion with her remarkable address. Ms Reddy did the honour of giving away trophies to the FLO Women Achievers Awardees 2018-19.

The Session started with Women Achievers Awards 2018-19 where women from various fields were awarded for Breaking the Barriers in their respective fields. The Awardees were Ms. Aditi Sogani (Classical Dancer), Ms. Ankita Sharma (Ms India Wheelchair runners up 2017-18), Ms. Apsara Reddy (India’s first transgender politician), Ms. Asha Jhajhria (First Civilian to climb Mt. Everest from Rajasthan), Ms. Gaurvi Singvi (Young record holder swimmer from Rajasthan), Ms. Janhavi Panwar (Wonder girl of India), Ms. Laxmi Agarwal (Acid attack survivor), Ms. Leena Gupta (Transformational Life coach), IPS Preeti Jain (IPS Officer) and Ms Seema K Rao (India’s First Woman commando trainer).

National President FICCI FLO, Ms Pinky Reddy and FLO Jaipur’s Chairperson, Ms Nitasha Chordia started the SPEAKERS’S FEST with a conversation with Ms Swara Bhaskar, a Bollywood celebrity. Swara has claimed her name to fame with many Bollywood movies in lead and supporting roles. Ms Leena Gupta (Transformational Life coach) taught some stress relieving techniques using Dance Movements – the audience really loved it.

The afternoon session had an interesting lineup of speakers. The first part saw a moderation of Ms. Apsara Reddy, Ms. Janhavi Panwar and Ms. Laxmi Agarwal by FLO’s chairperson Ms Nitasha Chordia and Sr. Vice Chairperson Ms. Shweta Chopra. IPS Amit Lodha brought a little humour in the next talk while he narrated his experiences with the underworld. He is the writer of the famous book “The Bihar Diaries”. Ms Malini Agarwal, a celebrity blogger ended the series of today’s sessions on a light note.

“Another great year of FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter is almost coming to an end….. and like the past years, this year has also seen some great events and some lovely works”, said a member.
