Shobha De Talks BAND BAAJA and CONFUSION

The well known writer, novelist and columnist, Shobhaa De addressed the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) Jaipur Chapter members on the topic “Band, Baja and Confusion”.

She emphatically said that women now were firmly headed for being ‘equals’ as an entrepreneur and as a professional. The ‘Aspirational India’, she said, was changing and women were playing a pivotal role in that change.

She appealed to the women ‘to know themselves’ and who they exactly where in terms of their strengths and weakness. Talking about cultural confusion, De categorically stated that a ‘modern woman’ necessarily wasn’t the one who drank, smoked and wore provocative apparel at late night parties. She was a woman who made a mark for herself in whatever she undertook to do with belief and conviction. She also knew how to balance her professional and her family life.

Earlier, the Chairperson of the FLO, Jaipur Chapter, Ms. Apra Kuchhal said that Shobhaa De’s talk today will open the mind of the women and will be inspired by her ideas. The ‘Day Chair’, Surbhi Maheshwari conducted the event.

After the talk Ms. De happily answered all the questions from the audience. She further added that the hospitality received was the best so far. The event was widely covered by the print and television media.
