Save the Girl Child: Play ” Ladlee”

Many of us by now are way too familiar with this term, but why did it come about, It’s because of various reasons, some known and others unknown. Society preferred having a male child. This has been a preference for decades but now with the help of technology it became easier and faster.

In due course of time an awareness was created, against this practice and hence a campaign in India to end the gender-selective abortion of female foetus, which has skewed the population towards a significant under-representation of girls in some Indian states.

It has been argued many times over that female foeticide is prevalent in rural India but statistics show otherwise. It is as much an urban problem as rural.

FLO Ludhiana Chapter also supports the cause of SAVE THE GIRL CHILD Wholeheartdly. In this regard, The chairperson Ms Savita Aggarwal took an Initiative to Organize a play “LADLEE””.On 19th May 2016 at 7.30 P.M At Guru Nanak Bhawan The play was choreographed by Ms Nirmal Rishi.and enacted by the members of Flo.
