Pre-budget Consultation with Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana

FLO President Harjinder Kaur Talwar was invited for a pre-budget consultation with Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana on January 15, 2020, at Mini Secretariat, Faridabad. It was organized by the Government of Haryana (Finance Department) in coordination with the Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management. Sectoral experts, innovators, practitioners, policymakers, academia, and departments along with other stakeholders were invited for this brainstorming session.

The highlight of the meeting was a submission of the FLO document of Women Empowerment Initiatives for the State of Haryana. It includes 10-point suggestions towards economic empowerment of women, which were received with enthusiasm by the Haryana Government. The inclusion of FLO recommendations will give a huge fillip to the financial inclusion of women for sustainable development of the State.
