POWER OF CHOICES – WITH MRS. SHARMILA TAGORE A CANDID CONVERSATION BETWEEN PADMA BHUSHAN SHARMILA TAGORE , Ms.PREETI SABOO (Chairperson Jaipur Chapter), Ms. NEETA BOOCHRA (Past National President)

FICCI LADIES ORGANISATION, (FLO) Jaipur under the Chairpersonship of Ms. Preeti Saboo invited Padambhushan Shamila Tagore for a conversation on POWER OF CHOICES.

Ms. Shamila Tagore was given a green welcome by FLO Past National President Ms. Neeta Boochra. Chaiperson Ms. Preeti Saboo began the session by asking Sharmilaji three bold choices she made in her life which were – acting in a movie at the age of 13, dropping out of school and marring a Nawab at the peak of her career.

Sharmilaji told us “Satyajeet Ray just changed my life. I was a school girl with a normal life. One day the phone rang and on the other side was Satyajeet Ray who offered the role of a young bride. Those days working in film was not a good profession. But Manik da has a great reputation of making good movies. My father said Yes. This Choice changed my destiny. My school principal told I was a bad influence and I had to change my school.”

The Programme ended with Chairperson Preeti Saboo asking Ms. Shamila Tagore with what are the choices that she would like to change. Sharmila Ji said she doesn’t like to look back & she is very happy with what is bestowed to her by Almighty. Ms. Neeta Boochra past FICCI FLO National President honored Ms, Shamila Tagore with a hand woven sari.

The main key takeaways were :

1. It was a motivational session for the members to encourage them to make powerful choices in their life & take it in their stride.
2. We also invited an NGO- Naya Saveera, who showcased their hand made products & our members bought them happily. Hence we also promoted women Entrepreneurship, which is the main essence of FLO.
