Mammography Camp in Association with Sohana Hospital

Breast cancer, being the most common cancer accounts for 14% of cancers diagnosed in Indian women. Regular mammograms can help fight breast cancer at an early stage.

Under the aegis of our worthy Chairperson Ankita Gupta and guidance of our Treasurer, Sanam Mehra, Mentor Care-O-Medics team organized a mammography camp on the 28th of April.

The mammography test was free of cost for the first 50 registered FLO members. Around 100 FLO members were examined at the highly equipped mammography van .The van of Sohana hospital is well equipped with-changing rooms, toilets, doctor consultancy rooms etc .Simran Kaur director Sohana hospital and the FLO vertical head organised a very informative discussion panel with qualified gynaecologist and oncologist .Awareness talk and discussion imparted the FLO members with lot of information about symptoms and pre conditions of initial stages of cancer . Lots of apprehensions of FLO members were answered by the doctors. The cancer awareness drive will cater to all urban and rural women. These camps would be carried out at various places and institutions.

Cancer awareness talk by Dr Sonia Dhaka(Oncologist, Sohana hospital) Dr Gursimran Kaur( Gynaecologist , Appollo) was also held.

The camp was organised in the premises of Sohana hospital in association of our worthy executive member, Simran Kaur, Head of Care-o-Medics team. Together let’s create a healthier world !
