Lal Batti Express – Street Play

Lal Batti Express, featuring for the first time in Chennai the revolutionaries of Kranti – girls aged 15-25 from Kamathipura in Mumbai, who are survivors of trafficking or daughters of sex workers based out of one of Asia’s most infamous red-light areas. In the past five years, they have written, directed and performed their own stories from the daily lives of sex workers to bring change to various communities.
