HSF Workshop in Multicuisine Cookery

FLO Chennai Chapter initiated a cookery workshop for economically challenged women that will empower them and spur entrepreneurial skills. The workshop was coordinated by Chitra Gopinath and conducted by FLO members and cookery experts and authors Viji Varadarajan and Santhi Balaraman with the help of FLO members Srilakshmi Mohan Roa, Naina Shah and Chairperson Shalini Biswajit.

The programme aimed to impart cooking skills to women who can work part time or full time in homes or to set up a small catering business or join a catering agency thus generating or supplementing their income. 13 of the 21 participants were from Naam, Suhasini Maniratnams foundation for single women, and the rest were women engaged in housework and catering.
