Health Awareness Camp at Sanjay Bazar, Jaipur

FLO Jaipur Chapter organized Health Awareness Camp at Sanjay Bazar, Jaipur on 27th Feb 2018 facilitated by Swayam Siddha Foundation Trust.

In order to improve women health status in the community at Sanjay Bajar, Jaipur general health checkup, cancer awareness, and Screening camp were conducted on 27th February 2018.

Check-up & Screening done by-

  1. Bhagwan Mahavir cancer hospital and research center,
  2. Agarwal eye hospital
  3. Thyrocare

158 women were registered in this camp.

Activity done in health check-up camp:–

  1. Blood pressure – 85 women examined
  2. * Blood Sugar – 67 women examined
  3. Bone marrow density test (BMD) – 70 screened
  4. Gynecological Examination: Pap smear acc.to more than 35% girls complaining about leucorrhoea /white discharge and 24 % above women having complaints of Vaginitis, therefore, medication is prescribed. NO other serious complaint is observed.
  5. Mammography :    5 patient  found breast node in which 3 are detected   as Fibroadenoma while 2 females need further more investigation like FNAC
  6. Eye Checkup, Dental Checkup, General Examination ( 150 women were benefitted).
  7. THYROID HORMONE TEST is provided on subsidised rate only rs 50/-.   35 patients took this facility.

In camp we found

  1. *25% had Hemoglobin level less than 12 gm%
  2. *32% had mild anemia with Hb level 10gm%
  3. *24% women had moderate anemia of Hb level 8 to 10 gm%
  4. *19% women had severed anemic with Hb less than 8 gm%
  5. *39% Women had higher sugar levels and they did not have any clue of this earlier
  6. *40% women had osteopenia and 25% had osteoporosis just at the age above 35
  7. Deficiency of Vitamin D has been reported at all age group. Low calcium intake with an extensive prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency, poor knowledge about osteoporosis becomes a major health problem
  8. Most of the women did not know how to perform Breast Self Examination so a workshop was conducted with the help of a senior Gynaecologist Dr.Manju Sharma ji.  The workshop was attended by more than 80 females of different age.
