FLO Mentorship Cell

FLO KOLKATA launched its FLO MENTORSHIP CELL on 11 September 2020 in presence of National FMC Head Ms Bindu Sastry and CEO Edelweiss Asset Management Ltd, Ms Radhika Gupta.

The Mentorship Cell is a self-reliant entrepreneurial ecosystem for and by FLO members. This is a facilitation platform connecting the knowledge & expertise of a mentor to help a mentee scale their business. It will help entrepreneurs in areas of establishing new business, marketing and branding, bootstrapping, legal and statutory compliances and sharing information on various resources available under state schemes -MSME, banks etc.

Radhika Gupta has been featured amongst the 30 most powerful women in Indian business 2019. She is India’s only female head of a major asset manager and has set up the country’s first domestic hedge fund. She is known as “the girl with the broken neck”.

She was unstoppable not because she did not have failure or doubts but because she continued despite them – and as she said simply – “I have a Wikipedia page not because I have achieved so much but because I am the girl with a broken neck. We must embrace our imperfections.”

We are all taught to camouflage our weaknesses but those are what make us unique, human and relatable. The way businesses have advisory boards, she also suggested having a personal advisory board – a close-knit group of well-wishers who will support you at all times.

“Rejection is just redirection”-of having faith in your own self and continuing despite it all.
