FLO Delegation To Varanasi & Sitamarhi

A delegation of 30 FLO members – 15 each from Kolkata Chapter & Delhi visited Varanasi and Sitamarhi in November. The tour began with a visit to Sitamarhi, the place was discovered by Jitendranand Tirth (Swami) in 1992 and ten years later a school was established by Shri S N P Punj (renowned industrialist) for educating the children of that region. Over 1500 children are studying there currently. In Varanasi the Group enjoyed its second part of the tour by visiting the famous “Kashi Vishwanath Temple”, taking the Barja ride, experiencing the Ganga Aarti and sunrise by the Ganges, among others. They also visited the globally acclaimed Benaras Hindu University (BHU) before returning back home.
