FLO Chennai actively involved in relief measures 

Dr. Vijaya Bharathi Rangarajan, Chairperosn of FICCI Ladies Organisation Chennai along with the Executive Committee involved in providing relief measures for the flood affected people. The Relief Measures provided at different parts of Chennai City (from 18th November 2015 to till date ) focused on

Group Counselling
1. Food and aid distribution at different parts of Chennai City.
Food packets, water packets, Bedsheets, Milk Powder, Biscuits, Provisions – rice, Dhal, Oil, clothes etc were distributed in Areas around Anna Nagar, Kotturpuram, North Madras, Ennore ,Bala Mandir, St. Bain’s School.

More than 7 lakh worth items were distributed in the above mentioned areas benefitting 4000 plus members since November 18, 2015 till date. School bags were given to 270 school students in the district of Cuddalore.

2. Free Medical camps
FICCI FLO Chennai in association with Sundaram Medical Foundation organized Free Medical camps at different places of Chennai, based on needs and request and free medicines were given.

About 85 camps were organized benefitting more than more than 1.7 lakh people. Medicines were sponsored by SMF doctors, FICCI FLO members, Pharmaceutical companies, Individual donors and Rotarians and their contacts.

3. Group counselling:
Group counselling was given by trained social workers and volunteers at the affected area
