Eye Screening Camp Hajongbari Village, Chandrapur, Guwahati

FLO Northeast Chapter organized a very successful eye screening camp, under the leadership of Chairperson, Monisha Baruwa supported by her dynamic team and the members of the Chapter . Sabita Jain was the Day Chair of the programme.

The camp was technically supported by Lions Club Of Gauhati in Hajongbari Village,Chandrapur. Hajongbari has been adopted by FLO NE Chapter, with the objective of working towards the development of the village and the well being of the inhabitants.

Practiced ophthalmologists screened 95 villagers and gave away complimentary medicines. Few eye surgery cases were detected and referred to Lions Eye Hospital for surgeries at a minimal cost.

Sabita Jain,Day Chair for the programme mentioned that the possibilities to find sponsors for the surgeries could be explored so that the affected patient could be benefitted.

Villagers of different age groups attended the camp and were benefited by the screening camp, which was supported by Mr Hemant Jain,President of Lions Club Of Gauhati.
