Event Synopsis of the Event “DHARMA”

Flo Kolkata on 18th January’2021 presented an interesting conversation with Author Amish Tripathi and Bhawna Roy. The Session was moderated by Malavika Banerjee, Director Kolkata Literary Meet.

Amish has written modern-age literary marvels such as The Shiva Trilogy (Immortals of Meluha, Secret of the Nagas), The Ramchandra series (Sita – Warrior of Mithila, and more recently Raavan – Enemy of Aryavarta and many more.

Bhawna Roy his sister who has co authored his recent book, DHARMA- Decoding the epics for a meaningful life .

Malavika steered the conversation in an interesting manner with few questions on his earlier books which were answered by enthusiastic members.

Discussions were along the lines of Dharma along with the deep routed philosophies that are embedded in our rich culture. Some of the aspects which came up during deliberations pointed out that is

Performing ones duty is the ultimate goal of being alive?  But what is our duty? What is not our duty? Must we submit always? Must we always obey? Or is it alright to sometimes disobey?

Many characters their acts and virtues around Indian mythology and epics were explained by both esteemed authors.

A very insightful session about Indian Philosophy by brilliant authors beautifully moderated was well appreciated by members.
