Corporate Social Responsibility : An Interaction with Mrs. Rajashree Birla

An interactive session on Corporate Social Responsibility with Mrs. Rajashree Birla, Chairperson, Aditya Birla Center for Rural Development and Community Initiatives was conducted at The Hyatt Regency. Mrs.Usha Krishna introduced Mrs. Birla, who was then felicitated by Mrs.Indira Dutt and Mrs. Meena Muthiah.

Padma Bhushan Smt. Rajashree Birla is an exemplar in the area of CSR and she spearheads one of the largest CSR initiatives in India. The most significant welfare work being – “The Empowerment of Women” – a subject of particular interest for FLO. Mrs. Birla is the Chairperson of FICCI First ever Expert Committee on CSR constituted. She enlightened our members on the various development projects being run by the Aditya Birla Group. Her philosophy mantra, “Giving is Living” – whether at the corporate or personal level, particularly inspired our members.
