Change of Guard & Session on Happiness –A way of Life

Sadhviji was raised in a traditional, upper class, American family in Hollywood, California and graduated from Stanford University. She was completing her Ph.D. when she left America in 1996 to come and live permanently at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India. She took official Sanyas diksha in June, 2000, marking her pledge to a life of service, renunciation, purity and devotion. She is President of Divine Shakti Foundation, a foundation dedicated to bringing education and empowerment to poor women and children which runs free schools, women’s vocational training programs and orphanages gurukuls in India.She also oversees the myriad humanitarian programs run by India Heritage Research Foundation, and was the Managing Editor for the monumental project of the Encyclopedia of Hinduism.

  1. We live in a world where being in a state of happiness is confusing and unnatural to others 2.We are not full of holes to fill us or fulfil us
  2. It is our highest calling in life to support our children in their choices.
  3. Living a life of stress has become the norm, it is not a disease any more it is DIS EASE
  4. Our connections to our inner self is constantly being broken .. But the deeper we connect to ourselves , the deeper we connect to the divine. Within our inner space is where we experience the divine after all..
