“Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths”

Priyanka Chopra calls herself a proud feminist and aims to prop other women up on her shoulders, in an interactive session organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) on “Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths”. Yes Bank was the Presenting Partner for the event and GVK group was the programme partner.

Fondly known as PeeCee, she is one of India’s most successful and popular celebrities. She has received numerous awards, including a National Film Award and Filmfare Awards in five categories. In 2016, the Government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, and Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Forbes listed her among the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2017.

As a part of its activities, FLO brings together women achievers for interactive sessions on breaking through challenges, beating the odds, walking the pathways of courage and playing the role of inspirational role model for women around the globe.

Mr Vir Sanghvi moderated the session. Mr Sanghvi is the best-known Indian journalist whose career straddles print, television, books and now, new media. He is also one of the best food writers in India and a TV host. His book, Rude Food won the Cointreau Award for Best Food Literature book in the world and his food and travel shows on channels such as TLC and NDTV Good Times have won numerous awards and continue to be watched by millions.
