CACCI Presidential Visit to Mongolia

Cacci WEC Chairperson Ms Mukta Nandini Jain  along with as 18 member delegation of FICCI – FLO joined the CACCI President Mr. Jemal Inaishvili & Vice  President Mr Sameer Modi in Mongolia .This Presidential visit was combined with the Ulaanbaatar Partnership, the country’s largest International  Trade Fair in September which is  jointly organised by the Mayor Administration of Ulaanbaatar City and MNCCI .

Mongolia ,a landlocked country has no access to the sea. It also happens to be sandwiched between two of the worlds most powerful nations Russia & China.

The rugged landscape with a population of just 3 million is the perfect destination for the traveller who seeks a glimpse into a different culture and also for the business person who is exploring new opportunities of growth . Mongolia, has rich resources of rare earths ,gold , silver , tin etc . To tap into & understand the unexplored opportunities that exist in Mongolia , Cacci WEC & MNCCI under the leadership of Cacci WEC Vice Chair L. Bolormaa Luvsandorj , organised a full day conference on 6th September. The conference was attended by over 400 women & was host to an exhibition of world class products made by women artisans &  micro enterprises from rural areas .

During the Gala dinner women from micro industries were recognised & awarded . There were 5 women from Mongolia , & two each from India  & Bangladesh .

The FICCI – FLO delegation had an opportunity to participate in the Cacci booth at the Partnership summit .

The visit to the scenic countryside of Huvsgal Lake , Elsen Tasarkhai ,an 16th century Monastery in  Erdenezuu & The Chinghiz Khan Monument gave us an understanding of opportunities that can be created for promoting tourism between the two countries .

The Women Entreprenuer Council is one of the Product &  Service Councils of Cacci ( Cacci WEC ) It specifically promotes economic development , & works towards creating opportunities for business networking & growth for women of the region . It has become an effective forum for examining, crystallising & consolidating the views of women led enterprises & for promoting intra – regional trade & investments .

According to one of the UN studies women could help the region grow by an additional 80 billion US annually .Cacci WEC is committed to creating & is actively working on increasing , recognising & encouraging the role of women as drivers of economic growth esp in the Asia Pacific Region .

The next conference scheduled is in Istanbul with a Session on Women Entrepreneurs during the 32nd CACCI Conference to be held in Istanbul on Nov. 23-24, 2018.Looking forward to another eventful & meaningful interaction
