“#BecauseSheCanUnite” “HUMA”, a dance ballet composed by Muzaffar Ali

FLO & YFLO Delhi jointly organised an event “#BecauseSheCanUnite” on July 20, 2023, at Lotus Temple, New Delhi. The event focused on self-change, imparting values of unity, compassion, and a shared sense of purpose among attendees through a thought-provoking and one-of-its-kind performance ‘HUMA.’

Transcending the differences and boundaries of religion, culture, and background, the event at the Lotus Temple was designed to instil within the audience a strong connection with themes of transformation, unity, and a vision to build a better future for all.

A beautiful Interfaith prayer service further embodied the essence of unity in diversity, spreading the message of peace and harmony among all faiths. It also amplified this message of hope, reminding everyone of the transformative power of collective prayer and spiritual connection.

Adding to the allure of the evening, the masterpiece of performative arts, 'HUMA,' directed by the eminent filmmaker and painter, Muzaffar Ali, and produced by Meera Ali, mesmerized the audience with an unforgettable performance by the exceptionally talented Shinjini Kulkarni.

The event was sponsored by Safexpress, Safeducate, IIFL Health, Kajaria, My Trident, JK Lakshmi Cement, CA Expert, Mayank Group, Surbhi Modi, M3M, Skin Zest and Orika.

A unique artwork – metal craft titled "Cymbidium tigrinum" by Valay Gada was displayed alongside, which referred to an orchid native to the north-east of India currently on the IUCN red list of endangered species and drew the viewer not just into an appreciation of nature’s beauty, but also to the fragility of its existence. Another highlight was a petite print workstation put up by The Pulp Society, which printed an immersive artwork of the Temple.
