An interactive session with Climate Change: How on Earth Can We Make a Difference? A Talk by Dr R. K. Pachauri, Nobel Laureate New Delhi – August 20, 2009

Scientists studying our weather pattern have become ever more convinced that human actions are changing the world’s climate.

In this perspective, an interactive session with Dr R K Pachauri, Nobel Laureate on ‘Climate Change: How on Earth Can We Make a Difference?’ was organized
In his talk he made reference to the Hindu philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means the whole universe is one family and this must dominate global efforts to protect global commons.

Dr. Pachauri stressed on the timely conservation of our worlds natural resources and moving towards alternate forms of production of energy for a better future for our children. He also suggested going vegetarian at least one meal a day Dr. Pachauri concluded his talk by a very symbolic gesture of giving a small Tulsi plant to all present.
