A two day workshop at IIM Ahmedabad IIM Ahmedabad, February 23rd & 24th, 2010

FLO Bombay Chapter brought a unique opportunity for FLO members to attend a course at IIM Ahmedabad.
IIM-A has evolved from being India’s premier management institute to a notable international school of management. The institute had initial collaboration with Harvard Business School which has greatly influenced the Institute’s approach to education.

As part of FLO’s vision towards empowerment, IIM-A had put together a two day session that helped us set new standards, generate ideas and promote knowledge through the dynamic and interactive programme.

The overall objective of the programme was to familiarize the participants with some of the important issues related to the concept of leadership.

It had been designed keeping in mind the background and profile of the participants. Broadly, the following areas were covered in the programme:

Identifying and developing leadership potential
India’s Economic Environment
Confrontation and collaboration
Corporate Governance
Leading Strategy

A variety of pedagogical tools such as cases, exercises, presentations and discussions were used.

I take this opportunity to thank members from all the chapters who came forward & made this programme a great success.
