A Talk on Legal Issues by Advocate Priya Hingorani Handique Girls' College, Guwahati-781001

FLO Northeast Chapter was fortunate to have Supreme Court Advocate and Flo GB member Ms Priya Hingorani to do a programme in Guwahati.Priya was very cooperative and immediately consented to give a talk.Handique Girls’ College was roped in to get an audience of young students.

We are grateful to Dr Bandana Nobis Das , Associate Professor and Head,dept of Botany for coordinating and anchoring the event.Principal of the college Dr Indira Bordoloi welcomed Chief guest Priya,Flo NE members and teachers and students of the college.She thanked Flo for organising the programme and was happy that Monisha is an allumni of the college.She further complimented Flo Ne for organising this Talk during their platinum jubilee year and expressed her desire to organise more such events in collaboration with Flo Ne .She felicitated Chief guest Priya and Monisha and Smita from Flo Ne.Chairperson Monisha too felicitated Priya and principal Dr.Bordoloi on behalf of Flo Ne.Monisha is her speech expressed her gratefulness to Priya, the college and specially Dr.Bandana to make this programme possible.she further gave open invitation to the teachers to join Flo Ne.

Priya spoke in length with case studies about eve teasing,sexual harrasment in work,domestic violence,marital laws,conservation law and so on to a packed hall.Her talk was very enlightening and interresting.It became inter active towards the end as students and teachers came up with questions on their personal issues.
