Orientation Program for FLO Women Directors Masterclass: An Online Certification Program – For Directors & Aspiring Directors

An orientation program for the FLO Women Directors Masterclass was organized on June 18, 2021.

Lt. Gen. J.S. Ahluwalia, PVSM (Retd.), President, Institute of Directors and Mr. Ashok Kapur IAS ( Retd.), Director General, Institute of Directors shared insights on the urgent need to Women on Corporate Boards

Ms. Nalini Jolly Independent director, Federal-Mogul Goetz limited share her own journey as a Women Director.

FLO has embarked to create a Talent Pool of Board Ready Independent Women Directors in association with the Institute of Directors, a premier global institution as its knowledge & capacity building partner. FLO is encouraging its members who are very competent, capable, and motivated women to take the plunge to acquire the necessary knowledge to be Board ready.

With this objective, FLO has launched a Masterclass to train FLO members to meet this demand for Women Board Directors. FLO WOMEN DIRECTORS’ MASTERCLASS is in collaboration with The Institute of Directors (IOD), a globally recognized & accredited Institute. The customized program is structured as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
The program is open to pan-India members. All participants shall be awarded a “Certificate of Participation” from FLO & on successful completion of the Course & Dissertation, participants will be awarded “Certified Corporate Director” by the Institute of Directors (IOD).

The Institute of Directors has also offered to list all qualified participants on their website for higher visibility for placements. IOD will guide, support, and train the applicants to qualify the test by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
FLO will feature all Certified Women Independent Directors on FLO & IOD Website to create visibility and seek opportunities of board positions with companies. All qualified women will be featured in FLO Newsletters to highlight their achievements.
