I have been associated with FICCI Ladies Organisation for a long time now but taking on the mantle of Presidentship meant an entirely different world of challenges and responsibilities for me. It calls for limitless dedication and unrestrained ability to lead the organisation to greater heights. With lots of enthusiasm blended with anxiety, I take up this new task and pledge to work towards the goal of this organisation.
The role of women in the modern world has considerably changed in the proverbial 21st century times .This change is synonymous with the shifting role of women in the society and economy around the globe. In almost all the developed countries in the world women are putting their steps at par with the men in the field of business or any other profession and are playing an impressive and inspirational role model.
FLO is a collective voice of all such women who have already carved a niche for themselves or aspire to create institutions virtually out of nothing and make the paradigm shift visible to the world. It is not an easy path to tread upon but with our belief in ourselves and our abilities, nothing is impossible.
As the President of FLO, I would endeavor to bring the best resources and opportunities to FLO, to augment learning, boost networking and ensure enrichment amongst our members.
I propose to begin my tenure with a project with the National Association for the Blind (NAB) and work towards the goal of FLO to promote excellence and empowerment of women and in this case, the visually impaired girl students of NAB. This project is very close to my heart and I request all of you to join hands with me and contribute towards the success of this project in your own ways.
I hope I am able to meet all the demands this position calls for and fulfil all expectations from my fellow members.
I am looking forward to working with all of you and take FLO to a newer horizon and with all your support, I am quite confident that it won't be impossible.
