Our Mission is the economic empowerment of women, and with the active participation from thousands of members across the country, we have been continuously working towards this objective.

The vision for the year 2016-17 is “Changing Lives – NEW CHALLENGES & UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITIES”. FLO has aligned itself to the development agenda of the Nation by focussing on creating National Initiatives which echo the National Missions like Make in India, Start Up India, Nari Shakti, Beti Padhao-Beti Bachao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan etc. The idea is to contribute towards building a strong, prosperous and equitable nation and creating a strong and powerful network of women leaders.

The WE Initiative – Women’s Employment, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship is a pan India initiative by FLO, encompassing various sectors. The focus is to skill and provide jobs for women in both traditional and non-traditional sectors.

FLO has created a Consultancy and Mentorship cell - SWAYAM in all its chapters Pan India to provide support to new and existing women entrepreneurs as also aspiring student entrepreneurs, in establishing a new business and enhancing existing ones.

WAYAM was launched nationally on September 10, 2015 at New Delhi, by Mr. Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

Flo women director

FLO Women Directors (FWD) is a pan India initiative, with the objective to encourage induction of Women Directors on company boards as also to educate the existing women on family boards, so as to improve their effectiveness and impact.

Being the largest body of women Directors in India, FLO believes that it is pertinent to promote different skills, optimise resource utilisation and maximise the potential of women to be taken on boards and being accepted at the leadership positions.

Ficci Ladies Organisation has signed an MOU with North Delhi Municipal Corporation, New Delhi for creating a Mahila Haat, with the objective of serving as a market place for the women artisans and entrepreneurs, thereby encouraging and promoting entrepreneurship and skill development at the grass root level among women, across all sectors.

The Mahila Haat Project was launched on March 20, 2016 at Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi, a centrally located area that has been allocated by the Delhi Government.

A Legal Cell has been initiated by FLO to facilitate economic empowerment of FLO members and other women of India through knowledge of law and legal processes; and ensure a healthy, physical, mental and emotional state for every member by guiding them through stressful periods or adverse situations, facilitating legally aware good decisions for their empowered life ahead.
