“Women and Leadership – the myriad dimensions”

FLO Bangalore Chapter organized a programme -“Women and Leadership – the myriad dimensions” on July 5, 2013 at Hyatt Bangalore. Ms Zia Mody was the speaker for the session.

Ms Mody gave a very inspiring talk on issues relating to women in Leadership positions, shared from her own rich experiences. Ms Zia Mody has always been willing to support and encourage women in their endeavours to grow in careers and business, and become independent individuals. Needless to say her talk ignited a spark in the audience who were present at this event to continue their pursuit of being who they are and who they want to become and find life’s balance.

Her talk focused on the various aspects, inspirations and challenges women face during their pursuit of chasing their own professional or entrepreneurial dreams. She graciously shared her experiences to set us thinking and do the best we can.

Ms Kalpana Kar who moderated the entire event very graciously covered her role as a citizen of Bangalore and talked about some of the civic initiatives and how FLO can participate in the same. Ms Kar beautifully moderated the Q&A and got the best out of Zia in intellectual introspection and debate which led to the session being a very stimulating and thought provoking one. It was also wonderful to directly hear from her, her involvement with Karnataka government and industry to bring about change in our systems and operations and governance.

And for inspiring FLO members and delegates to also be involved and responsible for change.

The overwhelming response to this event has been extremely encouraging. Our sincere thanks to all our members and guests who have taken the time out to be here this evening. Their presence is invaluable and gives us tremendous encouragement to stay on our track to make a positive contribution to FLO’s purpose.
