FLO Car Rally

The first ever FLO all women’s car rally was flagged off in Bangalore by none other than the Police Commissioner himself.

The rally was an attempt to bring the focus on road safety, and also increase the confidence of driving among women. The Rally was not about speed. The top speed in the rally was only about 40 km/h. Infact in most sections the participants were traveling at about 30 km/hr. The aim was team building as each car had a team of driver & navigator. They were questionnaires to answer while on the road. Also, they had to follow a ‘Tulip’ or a ‘Road Book’ and guess the route to reach the destination. Points were given on the basis on the over-all performance of the team.

The event was co-organised by the Karnataka Motor Sports Club (KMSC); along with the support of the Bangalore Traffic Police. Safety measures were all taken care; with a fully equipped Ambulance trailing the Rallyists.
