Mission to Support NAB
(National Association for the Blind)

Neena Malhotra began her tenure as President of FLO with the noble cause of working towards upliftment of the visually impaired. FLO collaborated with National Association for the Blind (NAB) with the prime objective of training Blind- young and adults and to empower them with skills so that they lead their lives with dignity.
On May 10, 2011 an MOU was signed between FLO and NAB with the objective to work together for the betterment of blind students especially young girls and women. Neena Malhotra, President –FLO, Shipra Chatterjee, Executive Director-FLO and Mr Mohinder Kapur, Chairperson- NAB were the signatories.
The programme began with an invocation by visually impaired students from NAB.
Dr. (Smt.) Kiran Walia, Hon’ble Minister of Social welfare, Women & Child Development and Languages, Govt. of NCT of Delhi was the Chief Guest at the occasion and she highly applauded this initiative of FLO. Dr Walia also released the FLO-NAB project brochure.
Dr. Reena Sethi, Sr. Consultant-Ophthalmology and Director, Arunodaya Deseret Eye Hospital gave an audio- visual presentation on how to keep an eye on eyes.
Mr. Cedric Kenny, Managing Director, Studio of Expression presented the project outline and highlighted the aspects of the FLO- NAB association. |
